2014 Ram 3500

When I needed a new tow rig to replace my totaled Super Duty I wanted a Ram.  I prefer the torque and simplicity of the Cummins diesel over the Power Stroke and Duramax V8s.  I also wanted a 2013+ truck with radius arms in front instead of the previous four-link to reduce the likelihood of death wobble.  And I prefer the rear leaf springs to the coils springs on the 2500.  Fortunately, I found the exact truck that met all of my needs, and it has served me well as a tow rig for the past five years everywhere from Mexico to Alaska.  In 2020 I added a Northstar pop-up camper to make the Ram even more diverse, and I spend as much time in the backcountry in the Ram without a trailer behind it now as with a trailer.
