1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

I have always had a soft spot for FJ40s, having spent my childhood in the back of one.  This Cruiser was much closer to stock than my father’s is though.  It was a hunting rig that I purchased off a ranch in Northern California.  I added a Skyjacker suspension and Toyo pizza cutter tires on refinished stock wheels with OEM hub caps.  The look was perfect in my opinion and this was such a fun vehicle to cruise around town in the summer with the top off.  Unfortunately, it was too clean to use for wheeling, and too slow to drive much further than around town.

Drivetrain:

Rebuilt 1F engine w/ factory carb and HEI ignition

Three speed manual transmission

Factory vacuum shift transfer case

Factory axles w/ 4.10 gears, open differentials, disc brakes, and Warn front hubs

Suspension:

Skyjacker 2 1/2-inch lift

2007 Ram 2500

My wife owned this truck when we met, and I have to say that there is nothing quite like a woman who drives a diesel

1999 Chevy Tracker

I bought this Tracker with the intention to build it into a dedicated rockcrawler.  Before that happened though, I slapped some 32-inch tall tires, lower

Stock flatfenders are all the rage now and I will confess that I resisted buying one for years because I didn’t want to jump on
